Garden Specialising in Mountain Bike Tours in and around the Sacred Valley and Cusco, we are located in the heart of the Sacred Valley; also known as the Urubamba valley; in the town of Urubamba which is centrally located between Cusco, Ollantaytambo, Chinchero, Maras, Moray, Pisac and Machu Picchu. Los Jardines is a convenient and comfortable place for visitors to stay while exploring the natural, historic and cultural wonders of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. At an altitude of 2871 masl. it is easier for visitors to acclimatise for higher altitudes in the Andes. Hence, we suggest you come to the Sacred Valley first and then visit higher places like Chinchero or Cusco at the end of your trip. We can offer a safe and privately organised Mini-bus ($45) or Taxi (90 - 100 Soles) service to collect you from the Airport and bring you to Los Jardines.

Urubamba is locally known as the Maize(Corn) capital of the world. Maize is one of the staples of the Inca and Quechua diet. If you are looking for a place where you will encounter less tourists then come to Urubamba. It has a train service to Machu Picchu and from the local bus station you can travel to any of the other destinations previously mentioned. Relax in our garden if you wish.
The owner places a strong emphasis on running the business in harmony with Mother Nature as much as possible and encouraging the guests to do likewise, and further disseminate the importance of these aims, in their daily lives when they leave so that the planet can be better cared for and appreciated. Therefore, for the comfort of all guests it would be appreciated if you refrain from smoking whilst inside the property. Drunken behaviour is not tolerated. I am awaiting further clarification but I have been informed that there are only 2 direct services, using larger buses, from Ollantaytambo to Cusco. These are in the morning and the middle of the evening when there are passengers arriving by train from Machu Picchu. At other times microbuses travel between Ollantaytambo and Urubamba.

TIPS

Avoid putting any luggage in overhead racks when travelling on buses; especially at night.

TRAIN
Please visit the site of Cusco Travel Services to request reservations for tickets for the services provided by PeruRail that operate between Cusco and Machu Picchu and Cusco and Puno.
